It is insane how many diapers our baby goes through in a day so it makes us feel like we’re making a difference by using the mushroom pods. We also have had no issues with rashes since the diapers are unbleached.

What I appreciate most about HIRO is that they’re willing to have the hard conversations around waste, parenting, and sustainability with honesty and integrity. So many brands make big environmental claims, but HIRO feels deeply thoughtful in the way they approach innovation, regenerative living and education.

Learning about their mission and the plastic- eating fungi honestly gave me a sense of hope and inspiration. As a mother, I care deeply about the world we’re leaving for our children, and I’m grateful to see a company actively exploring new possibilities instead of accepting the status quo around single-use waste.

I also really appreciate the heart behind the brand, it feels human, curious, community-driven, and rooted in a genuine desire to create meaningful change. Excited to watch HIRO continue to grow and evolve.

I did not do the bundle so idk about the wipes but I tried the 5 pack and it was great. So I ordered a pack of diapers and we enjoy them very much. Great quality. 100% converted from kudos (who switched their design). BE A HIRO TO YOUR FAMILY AND EARTH

Absolutely love everything about Hiro diapers! I love that they fit and work great (no leaks or blowouts!). I love that they are made of organic cotton and safe for my little one. And the cherry on top is that they are good for our world! Win, win, win.

Loving these diapers so far. They’re so soft and I know the clean makeup is great for my baby’s skin. I also love how sustainable they are for the environment. My only gripe is we have some blowouts from the back. I would recommend that little pocket at the top inside of the back (even in size 2) to contain as much back blowout as possible.

I really enjoy the products. My baby has yet to have any rash while using HIRO. The shipping is hit or miss.

So, first off I'd like to say that I love the mission that this company has. Sustainability is something very important to me and I'll always support a brand that works to protect the earth. I currently use cloth diapers during the day for my boy and we use disposables at night, which is why I wanted to try this brand. Unfortunately, even though size 2 is rated 12 to 18lbs and my boy is around 14lbs, it doesn't fit him good. It looks way too big and we had leaks both times we tried the diapers, though I know the diaper couldve held more. They leaked about 3 to 4 hours in. Maybe my baby is just too skinny? I'm not sure if it's just me or if I somehow wasn't securing the diaper the best. I'm not sure what the deal is, but it was definitely disappointing. So if you have a skinny baby, these diapers may run big for you. Hopefully I can still use them in a few weeks because I do still love how the diapers are made out of nontoxic materials and have the ability to break down. Hopefully by the time they fit my baby better, I'll have the myco-pods!

I wanted to love these diapers, and there really is a lot to love about them, but ultimately they just aren’t working for us.
I was extremely excited about these diapers - the amount of waste and single use materials related to having a baby that go into landfills keeps me up at night. These seemed like a perfect solution. I love the materials, I love the lifecycle concept, I really like the CEO’s track record of leading other planet-friendly consumer brands.
But these just aren’t absorbent. We’ve used these since my baby was born alongside other diaper brands for six months, and nearly every time she wears one of these she has a blowout. That doesn’t happen with other diapers. Additionally, I just found bugs in the bag of pods and in our diaper caddy. This was something I got a warning email about the potential of… but ew. That was the last straw.
I’m giving three stars for the concept of how these diapers break down in a standard landfill, which I really hope is accurate (I have no reason to believe otherwise). But I won’t be buying these diapers again until the functionality issues and the bugs are dealt with.

I really love the mission of Hiro’s diapers and have so far been happy with the quality. My 3 star review simply comes from my first experience with the company/customer service. After multiple attempts to get information about diapers not having a tracking update, I finally disputed the charge with my credit card. They arrived over a month later. I understand now that there were some issues with the mycelium pods being out of stock, but that info would have been nice up front so I wasn’t left wondering if I got scammed. Because honestly the product has such an amazing mission I thought it was too good to be true! I had reached out to customer service several times and wish that they had invested in the customer retention side of the business because for my first order/first interaction with the business was really disappointing. Otherwise getting a subscription from them would be a no-brainer and this would easily be a 5 star review

The products are really great, but shipping takes a REALLY long time. Make sure to reorder a lot sooner than you think to ensure you have enough diapers for your baby.

These diapers are super soft! My LO wears 6 normally but the 5 fits well from here. These work well for 2-4 hours in the daytime depending on intake. I think my LO can feel he’s wet in them, so we have started exploring how to sit on the potty. Not bad at all!
My one negative, and it may not be related to the diapers. He has been not irritated in his diaper area this weekend (first weekend of constant use) BUT that might be from playing in the sandbox or a possible bug bite. I’m not sure what is irritating him.
Overall, good experience. We will see how it keeps going.
Btw, I love that they decompose quickly.

I typically don’t leave reviews because like what’s in it for me, right? But because these diapers help with the ever growing landfill problem and because they function so well, I felt inclined to do so. These diapers are super absorbent, do not leak, and are super soft. I feel very satisfied that no chemicals are touching my baby’s skin and that they are helping the environment!

I love these diapers! After two stays in the hospital having to use yucky fragranced and bleached and chemical absorbency chemically-laden brands, we started looking for something better (we are usually cloth diaper people both for the lack of bad chemicals against baby’s skin and for the environmental impact) — we found Hiro and we love them! All the great things we want in a diaper and biodegradable, too! Now we stock them on hand in the car for just in case Heidi gets stuck in another hospital. She’s always tricking the medical types into thinking that she can’t breathe properly, so it’s a big risk for her.

I have had no issues with the product itself. However, the customer service is non-existent. I have had three issues with my orders (one minor, two shipments without wipes), and no one has answered any of my inquiries. I love the thought behind this product, but I do not recommend the subscription service.

I love that hiro is not only more planet friendly than your average diaper but the dryness of the organic materials are superior to the big name synthetic diapers that we have tried. A big pee will still feel dry but you can see that the inside liner of the diaper darkens (not as clear cut as the color changing blue line on other diapers). The customer service is also great and helped sort out diapers shipped to the wrong address.

I have zero guilt putting my baby in these. They move with my baby freely. I like the stretchy waste band. I love the credibility of the sourcing. They hold up so well during play time and car rides. No complaints!

We started our subscription about a two weeks before baby was born, and have been using it since. I’m not sure what happened, but we had about a two week lapse between deliveries so we found ourselves cycling through all the other diapers (buying small packs to try them out) and have been just disappointed. We cannot wait for the Hiros to be delivered. They’re the best.

Obsessed with these diapers. Will not go back to anything else. They are soft, absorbent, and the best eco-friendly brand I've tried. Got them for my second-born, and like them so much I got my toddler into them as well. Feels good knowing they are better for the planet :)

We were skeptical that these diapers would do a good job, and were expecting a leaky mess like we’ve experience with other eco friendly diapers and these have seriously surprised us in the best way - this may be the best diaper we’ve tried - equal if not better diaper than the speciality brand we switched from, but the non bleached no chemicals construction plus the ability to potentially eliminate the diaper and the plastic around it sends it far into first place. We didn’t know what to think about adding the spores, but ease of adding the pods adds a few seconds to the routine. We’ve started telling friends.

As a family thay mostly cloth diapers, these are by far the favorite of the disposables we have tried and I love that they wont sit in a landfall as long as the others.

These diapers are so soft and very roomy. We normally use reusable diapers but love Hiro for on the go and when we NEED to use disposables. We love that they are less plastic and decomposing.

These diapers are soft and gentler on my baby's skin than Kudos/less breakage and leakage, pretty much never fall apart if I change the diaper at least 3x times a day! I love the peace of mind that comes with knowing the plastic will get broken down, as there is no such thing as a plastic free one-use diaper! They do still leak overnight, pretty much always if I don't change right before bed. Overall, probably the best low-plastic one-use diaper on the market!

So soft on babies skin and they haven’t caused any rashes or irritation. They are less absorbent than other brands, but I haven’t had any major blow outs because of it. I really like them so far! Love how easy it is to update and change my subscription, and shipping is pretty fast. Stoked about this company and all it’s doing to reduce waste and solve this huge issue!!

Obsessed with these diapers! The eco-friendly diapers usually compromise something but these don't. Fit great, don't allow blowouts, absorb well, love em! Feels so good not contributing to landfill :)
