When we learned that every baby sits in a bleached diaper for the first 1,000 days of their life and goes through ~6,000 diapers that take 400+ years to break down, we set out to create a new kind of diaper, one that considers the entire ecosystem. Where baby, parent and nature all win, in a real way.
We knew that we couldn’t create a diaper that was just ingredient-healthy for the baby and the planet, the diaper had to actually perform. It prevents blowouts, works through the night keeping baby dry. Parents chose HIRO Diapers in a blind test across the board based just on diaper performance.

Our diaper is separately accompanied by a special strain of fungi that have evolved to eat plastics. While the fungi are so safe and friendly (and even edible!) (but pls don’t eat them) they are not in the diaper at all.
Each HIRO Pouch contains a proprietary blend of shelf stable SuperHIRO Fungi, that when discarded, can activate in a couple of weeks. HIRO’s vision is to break down soft plastics in under 12 months in landfills.
Diapers normally take 400+ years to fully decompose. Our friendly fungi speed up that process, helping to regenerate Mother Earth exponentially faster.
